Ten Years of Regional Smart Specialisation: Achievements and New Challenges

The Veneto Region, in collaboration with the University of Padua, is celebrating ten years of the Smart Specialisation Strategy (S3) with an event that looks to the past in order to relaunch the future.

This appointment marks a key moment in the evolutionary path of the Strategy, not only because it provides an opportunity to reflect on the results achieved over these years, but also because it aims to revive dialogue on both new and ongoing challenges facing our region, in view of the upcoming update process for the Strategy in the coming months.

The meeting will take place on 12 September from 9:00 a.m. in the Aula Magna of Palazzo del Bo at the University of Padua, and will feature the participation of representatives from the research community, businesses, institutions, and trade associations, in an open and constructive dialogue on the S3’s strategic directions and on the role of public–private collaboration in the region’s development.
